Empress Zhuang Lie Min did apparently have a good relationship to the Chongzhen Emperor and was careful to treat her with respect. She was however involved in some conflicts with his more favored concubines. Empress Zhuang Lie Min was ordered by the Emperor to commit suicide the 18 March, which she performed by hanging.
