Empress Zhuang Lie Min (died 18 March 1644), posthumously named Empress Xiao Jie, was a Chinese Empress consort of the Ming Dynasty, married to Chongzhen Emperor.

Biography

Empress Zhuang Lie Min did apparently have a good relationship to the Chongzhen Emperor and was careful to treat her with respect. She was however involved in some conflicts with his more favored concubines. Empress Zhuang Lie Min was ordered by the Emperor to commit suicide the 18 March, which she performed by hanging.
